Tribal Chic returns for its landmark 15th edition, celebrating fifteen years as East Africa’s longest-running fashion show. Taking place on March 7th, 2026 at Tribe Hotel, this year’s theme, The Four Elements, draws inspiration from Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, powerful forces that shape not only nature, but creativity itself.
For over a decade, Tribal Chic has transcended the traditional runway, evolving into a cultural movement that champions African design, innovation, and global dialogue. The 2026 edition invites audiences to experience fashion as a living force, fluid as water, grounded as earth, fearless as fire, and limitless as air.
“Fifteen years ago, Tribal Chic was born from a vision to create a platform that honoured African creativity with global standards,”
said Shamim Ehsani, Director of Tribe Hotels Group.
“Today, as the region’s longest-running fashion show, we celebrate not just longevity, but impact, the designers nurtured, the stories told, and the global connections forged.”
This milestone year will showcase an exceptional lineup of designers from across the continent and beyond, including:
In a special international collaboration, the Barbados Embassy will sponsor designer J.Angelique, bringing Caribbean flair to the Tribal Chic runway and further strengthening cross-continental creative exchange.
This year’s edition is proudly supported by an elevated portfolio of partners who amplify the Tribal Chic experience. Beauty will be powered by Fenty Beauty as the official makeup sponsor and Lintons Hair School as hair sponsor. BMW joins as a premier automotive partner. Don Julio will sponsor designer Sevaria, while beverag partners include Procera Gin, Aquamist, and Kenyan Originals.
The celebration begins with an exclusive Media Breakfast on 12th February 2026, followed by the highly anticipated main runway show on 7th March 2026 at Tribe Hotel, proudly recognised as a Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice property, underscoring its status as one of the region’s leading luxury lifestyle destinations.
